Use this easy to read stainless steel Meat Thermometer with its 9cm long probe to ensure your roasts are cooked to perfection every time. It is designed to be used either when the meat is in or out of the oven. Insert it into the thickest part of the meat and make sure it isn't touching a bone as this would give an incorrect reading (a falsely high temperature). You can insert it into the meat and then put it in the oven while your meat is cooking. Or cook your meat and place the thermometer probe into it to take a reading once you have removed it from the oven.Read the meat temperature on the easy to read dial. It is easy to recognise if the meat is cooked properly or not because the images on the dial gives the optimum target temperature for beef, veal, pork, lamb and poultry as well as temperatures from 60 to 88C and 140 to 190F. Put safety first when cooking meat and always use a meat thermometer to check your joint is cooked through.
